Rent Guideline goes online covering Ontario, British Columbia and Nova Scotia, with every figure read in its official source before launch.
- Ontario guideline: the 2026 and 2027 guidelines, the official history of past years, and a calculator for the new rent, including increases above the guideline ordered by the Landlord and Tenant Board or agreed on the proper form.
- Ontario exemption: a step-by-step check of the exemption for units first occupied for residential purposes after November 15, 2018, and of the other categories outside the guideline.
- Ontario notice: dates for the notice on Form N1, the gap of 12 months between increases, and how much has been paid above the guideline if an increase went too far.
- British Columbia: the 2026 and 2027 limits in one guided check covering who is outside the limit, the amount, the notice, the gap between increases, past years, overpayments and additional increases.
- Nova Scotia: the cap for 2026 and 2027 in one guided check covering who it protects, notice by type of lease, the anniversary rule, changes in services and overpayments.
